With us, innovation meets continuity and experience. Not only do we refine our wood processing skills every day, we also pass them down from generation to generation. Starting with the laying of the foundation stone in 1865 by Richard Streit, the Streit Sawmill developed continuously. It has been in its current location of the Hausach-Hechtsberg industrial park since 1983. Nine years later, Klaus Henne heralded the next generational change and since then has managed the Streit Sawmill Streit as its fifth generation of managing director.
We are very anxious to push ahead with building the next level of management and pass on the keys to success: Customer orientation. Because this credo, hand in hand with quality and service, is the reason why we have been the preferred supplier for our customers for years. In addition, technical progress always gives us the opportunity to develop further through investment in machinery. Likewise, it is our values that make us and drive us forward.

Good ideas need suitable methods. We rely on modern machinery and the latest technology to produce quality for our customers - flexible and always up to date. Due to the automatic quality recognition, we can guarantee even more accurate, consistent and better quality sawn goods in the future.

The finishing touch
Due to the excellent quality of our local spruce and fir woods, we avoid treating them with chemicals as far as possible. The processing produces high-quality wood chips, which are very popular in the paper industry. We also supply pellet production facilities. Pellets are produced from the sawdust, and they stay warm in the cold winter months due to the high calorific value. Reusing waste, which is worthwhile for both us and the environment.
